Welcome – 2024
NEW EXHIBIT – Rural Schools in the Town of Dryden 1802 to 1936
We have a wonderful new exhibit on Rural Schools in the Town of Dryden 1802 to 1936. The first school was in a log cabin built by Amos Street, and in 1936 the 31 rural schools were all consolidated into the Dryden-Freeville School District. We have some interesting items from an old wall map, a stereopticon used at Hile School, and texts, workbooks, graduations and yearbooks. Our challenge is that over the many years many schools changed names, closed, reopened, or moved. We think you will find it interesting.
